Malaysia’s import of wooden furniture from China has increased significantly. In the first half of this year, Malaysia’s imports of wooden furniture increased by 64% to US $195 million, one of the four countries with an increase in the number of wooden furniture purchased during the reporting period. Nine other countries imported wood furniture from China by 1% (Japan) to 43% (United States). On the other hand, Malaysia’s export of wooden furniture to China fell 39% year-on-year to 140 million US dollars.
