We manufacture our plywood kitchen doors and drawer fronts using a solid 18mm birch ply core faced with a surface veneer of either birch, oak or walnut. Our timber is FSC certified and we only use B/BB grade which is the industry standard for cabinet making.
We hand finish our wood faced fronts by sanding smooth with an ultra fine grit sandpaper. Once sanded each item is sprayed using a premium quality double matt lacquer. Our lacquer is Formaldehyde free, crack resistant and naturally filters UV light preventing any yellowing of the wood over time. Once complete our fronts have a durable water resistant finish whilst feeling natural to the touch.
Where possible we lay items out on the sheets for cutting to allow the grain to run continuously along the fronts. This attention to detail allows the natural beauty of the grain to be retained creating a stunning finish.
As all our wood faced fronts have a water resistant finish they do not stain and can be cared for simply by washing with warm water and a little soap.
We also supply matching plinth strips for all our wood faced fronts made from the same quality materials as our fronts.
Wood is a natural product and so has variation in it’s appearance which can include small knots, different grain pattern and variation in colour. We embrace this variation as it gives each kitchen it’s own unique aesthetic.
