Therefore, the significance of quality control standards is to make “customer satisfaction” and “do the right thing”, because too high quality standards, especially for materials and aesthetic requirements, will inevitably increase production costs. However, customer requirements are always growing, product quality improvement is bound to be endless, which requires careful grasp of quality management personnel.

The particularity of furniture industry determines the diversity, interpenetration and complexity of quality control. Here are the main quality control points to do a good job of quality management and improve the quality control system.

  1. Trial production (or trial run)

Before mass production, in order to check the rationality of product design and ensure the feasibility and smoothness of mass production, technicians make one or several samples according to engineering drawings, process documents and quality standards in a ratio of 1:1. Then, the quality assurance technicians inspect the feasibility and accuracy of the design structure, engineering drawings, process documents, templates and templates.

The first is the first qualified product in mass production. During the daily start-up, die change, die repair, equipment maintenance and material replacement, the operator manufactures the first piece according to engineering drawings, process requirements and quality standards. The first piece is not qualified and the product can not be produced in mass. The first part confirmation process is divided into three parts: first part confirmation (or machining), first part confirmation (or assembly), first part confirmation of paint (or painting) and first part confirmation of packaging.

In mass production, several sets of spare parts (including wood-based panels, solid wood, resins, hardware, marble, glass mirrors, cushion backrest) should be selected and checked together. The test group must be thoroughly in place. In order to ensure the thoroughness of the test group, the processing workshop needs to arrange the synchronous matching production of relevant parts. The test group was divided into component test group and whole test group. Component test group is assembled by parts, such as the front panel, side panel, bottom panel, back panel of dresser drawer. The whole test group is assembled by parts, such as front frame, back frame, drawer, panel, side panel, door and so on.

When the moisture content of wood changes greatly, the internal stress of wood is uneven, while the appearance of wood is distorted, warped and cracked. Generally, the water content of solid wood in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces is controlled according to the following standards: the solid wood preparation section is controlled between 6% and 8%, and the machining section and assembly section are controlled between 8% and 10%. The moisture content of three splints is controlled between 6% and 12%, and that of multi-plywood, particleboard and MDF is controlled between 6% and 10%.

Wooden furniture needs to be decorated with paint to improve the appearance of the product. Before decoration, the surface of the paint should be sanded and polished to ensure the effect of the paint.

Self-inspection: After the first inspection, the operator must carry out independent inspection on the products processed by himself during mass production. Operators must be aware of product characteristics, work instructions, quality standards, self-inspection methods and parameters of important processes before work. Operators should shut down and correct abnormal quality in time if they find abnormal quality in independent inspection.

Mutual Inspection: In the production line, the next process staff on the upper flow parts sampling inspection.

Patrol inspection: IPQC in the production of patrol inspection, found abnormal product quality or defective products, request to improve or recommend shutdown, shutdown, timely correction.

  1. Final test

All products to be packaged in the packaging workshop must be fully inspected by FQC, and yellow “QC PASS” label should be affixed to the qualified products.

  1. Sample Inspection after Storage

Sample inspection of a certain percentage of products for sale in the finished product warehouse. Careful inspection of product safety performance, functional structure, appearance size, overall beauty, packaging protection, and external box marks is carried out according to process standards and quality standards.

Periodically check the humidity meter, vernier caliper, spiral micrometer and Thermohygrometer to ensure the reliability of the test results.
