Traditional Sauna (Pre-Built & Pre-Cut)

Sauna Terminology

Fundamentally, there are two types of saunas: Traditional and Infrared. A traditional sauna is done through heating a compartment of stones, which in turn radiate heat in the room. This system permits enhancing the humidity and steam levels in the room by pouring a ladle of water on the heated rocks. An infrared sauna is a type of sauna that uses light to create heat. These saunas are sometimes called far-infrared saunas where “far” describes where the infrared waves are located within the light spectrum.

Traditional Saunas

Traditional saunas are designed and manufactured as either “freestanding rooms” with finished exterior walls called a “Pre-built” or as a “Pre-cut” kit for the do-it-yourselfer who wants to build his/her own sauna within an existing room.

Pre-Built Saunas:

Our Pre-built saunas are designed and manufactured in three levels of luxury: Silver SeriesGold Series and Platinum Series.

Pre-Built saunas are easy-to-assemble, modular, prefabricated wall panels that fit together easily and provide greater flexibility so you can take your sauna with you if you ever have to relocate.

Interior walls are made of clear cedar, exterior walls vary the the level of luxury chosen; Silver Series, Gold Series or Platinum Series. Pre-built assembly times vary by room size and shape, and can take as little as 1-2 hours. For a demonstration, see our pre-built demonstration video on You Tube.

Accessory packages included with each Silver Series Pre-built kit include: a wooden bucket with liner, wooden ladle, cedar headrest, thermometer and a wall mount light. Gold and Platinum Series offer an enhanced level of aesthetic and comfort.
