Vietnam: Strengthening the Sustainable Development of Export Wood Processing Industry

The Prime Minister of Vietnam has issued a number of tasks and solutions for the rapid and sustainable development of the export of wood and non-wood forest products processing industry.

Views and objectives are to develop sustainable, efficient and modern industrial processing of wood and non-wood forest products on the basis of in-depth integration into regional and global markets; to use legitimate timber; and to apply advanced technology and modern equipment to ensure production environmental standards.

In order to achieve this goal, the Prime Minister calls for strict implementation of the Forest Law passed by the National Assembly in 2017 and the guiding document system for its implementation, as well as simplification of administrative procedures. Establishment and Promotion of Wood Industry Brand in Vietnam
